My youngest son and I got to spend a day in Marion, North Carolina. There are many things that a person could see or do in Marion HOWEVER, we spent the day at the historic court house in Marion! This courhouse happens to be the county seat for McDowell County, North Carolina AND if you get a ticket on I-40 on Black Mountain this is were you have to go for your court date (my son got the ticket, not me).
